Carl Farish
PRINCIPAL
With over ten years of experience in foundation accounting, Carl is committed to helping organizations optimize their grantmaking strategies and achieve their philanthropic objectives. He founded Ally Foundation Services to provide dedicated accounting and compliance services to philanthropic organizations.
Carl previously served as Controller at Pacific Foundation Services. Working directly with over 40 foundations ranging in size from $250,000 to $5 billion in assets, his work touched all facets of accounting and compliance functions. He also trained the accounting staff and developed systems and procedures essential for all client services. He is an expert in the field and can communicate complex issues in a friendly and accessible way to people of all backgrounds. Through Ally Foundation Services, Carl continues to work with his former colleagues at Pacific Foundation Services in an Advisory capacity.
Prior to his work with foundations, Carl spent more than a decade in bankruptcy accounting in his native England, helping companies in dire circumstances navigate complex financial situations. His expertise in sophisticated financial management, combined with his commitment to philanthropy, makes him a respected partner for foundations seeking to maximize their impact.
Carl holds a BSc (Hons) degree in applied accounting.
